Lab 2: Bitmap Drawing (Krita)

Exercise: PNG Reproduction of an Artwork Cover

IMPORTANT: Save the final image as a .PNG file.
  1. Select a New Yorker cover artwork, such as the one shown below, or a poster artwork.
  2. Recreate the artwork using tools of your choice.
  3. Rely on the use of layers to separate drawn elements. For example, use layers for the sky, sandy beach, hotdog, etc.
  4. Learn about additional drawing tools and techniques and document your progress in a Word document.
  5. Submit your final PNG artwork and your learning progress to canvas. Include a photo capture of the layers in your artwork.
