Project Guidelines

  • Formulate your story, examine your objectives, and sketch your storyboard on paper. Consider images and frame-by-frame elements that you can use to enhance your story. Also consider what can be accomplished within the amount of time available for this project.
  • Apply field guides to the storyboard to indicate camera movements. Explore animation techniques that you can use to reveal the main character in the opening scene of the movie. During this process, consider multiple camera approaches that will most engage your audience.
  • The final movie must feature your own original drawings or hand drawn/painted artwork that has been digitized.
  • If you choose to use artwork or graphics that are not original, limit them to no more than three elements and cite this work in rolling credits of the movie.
